Terms And Conditions
Teddington Appliance Controls Ltd prides itself on the quality of its products, value for money and customer service. Please read the following terms and conditions ("these Terms") carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which Teddington Appliance Controls Ltd ("we" and "us") makes its goods available to you.
1. Price
The price payable for the goods you order ("the Goods") is as shown on the website ("the Site") at the time you place your order. Any additional charges for carriage and insurance are also set out on the Site.
Full payment for all Goods and any charges for carriage and insurance must be received by us in cleared funds before your order can be delivered.
We reserve the right to change our prices and terms and conditions at any time.
All prices shown include VAT at the current rate as determined from time to time.
2. Payment
We accept payment by the following methods:
- PayPal (credit & debit card)
- Personal cheque
- Bankers draft
We do not accept cash.
If you decide to pay by personal cheque, the goods will only be despatched once the funds have cleared.
3. Carriage
Postage & packing (P&P) charges vary according to the item(s) purchased. P&P costs for each item will be clearly stated on the Site.
Currently the Goods, which are for sale on the Site, are only sold for delivery to a UK mainland destination. Goods cannot be collected.
Our deliveries are to the ground floor entrance of the customer's residence or site. We only use one driver so it is essential that where heavy or bulky items are being delivered assistance is on hand otherwise the delivery may not occur, this is at the discretion of the delivery driver.
All dates given for delivery are estimates only and, as such, we will not be liable for any costs incurred as a result of late or early delivery.
We recommend that you do not employ a tradesman based on our estimated delivery dates.
4. Availability
If for any reason, beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you as soon as possible. Where payment has been received for items that have become unavailable, a full refund of the price of the goods and any P&P costs will be made by the same method as that you used to pay us.
5. Acceptance
No contract exists between us until we have confirmed your order by email, or sent a formal order acknowledgement to you by post. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason. If payment for the goods has already been made via credit or debit card, we shall refund the price of the goods within 30 days of declining your order We shall not be obliged to offer you any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
6. Suitability
If you are unsure about the suitability of any of our items, then please contact us and we will be more than happy to assist you.
6.1 Damage in Transit
We take great care in packing and delivering your goods however very occasionally something may become damaged in transit. It is very important that you open, and inspect, the goods within 48 hours of receipt. If the goods are damaged in any way you should contact us, giving details of the damage and we will discuss what action needs to be taken. Failure to report damage within 48 hours may effect your claim to a replacement, or at the companies discretion, a refund.
Please note that the goods are very carefully packaged and in the event you wish to return the product we will require it to be fully repackaged and returned to us in the condition in which you received it. We would therefore advise you to check the item and your requirements very carefully prior to unpacking the goods. Please note that we will be under no obligation to refund you in the event that you fail to repackage the goods properly and/or they become damaged in return to us.
6.2 Returns
If an item is being returned as a result of a product fault or a mistake by us then we will offer a full refund of all costs.
- Contact us, and inform us that you wish to return the item(s) and the reason for return
- We shall send you a pre-addressed returns label by recorded delivery and one label should be affixed to each package that is to be returned.
6.3 Refunds
In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your purchase, or the product is unsuitable. We are happy to refund or replace your purchase. The only request we make is that the product is returned as new, within 30 days of receipt, in the original packaging and fit for transportation.
On return of the product, you will receive a full refund less carriage costs and a 25% restocking charge (the cost of processing, inspecting, re-packaging and returning the item to stock). It is the customer's responsibility to return the product, once the delivery has been signed for. Any orders cancelled before receipt of the goods will also incur a 25% restocking charge.
7. Liability
* This Site is provided by us without any warranties or guarantees. We do our best to make the Site available and error free but do not accept liability in the event it is not. You must bear the risks associated with the use of the Internet, including ensuring your compliance with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. This Site is offered and operated under English law and if you are accessing the Site from outside this jurisdiction or you order Goods from outside this jurisdiction you must ensure that you comply with all local laws and indemnify us from any liability arising out of a result of your failure to do so including without limitation any obligation to pay any applicable sales tax. We make no representations about other websites that you may access from our Site or via any link, and you acknowledge any such sites are independent from us and we are not liable for any loss or damage occurred following the use of any such link or other site.
We disclaim all liabilities in connection with the following:
- Any technical problems including errors or interruptions of this Site
- Incompatibility of this Site with any of your equipment, software or telecommunications links
- Inadequacy of this Site to meet your requirements
- Any virus worm or similar introduced to your computer via this Site.
We reserve the right to alter or amend the Site at any time, or to suspend or remove your access to it. We shall not be liable for any mistakes on the Site and shall not be bound to provide you with any Goods or commit to prices displayed until such time as we confirm your order in accordance with clause 5 above.
- If the Goods we deliver are damaged or not what you ordered, we shall have no liability unless our policy with respect to refunds, laid out in Section 6 above, is adhered to, in which case the refunds policy laid out in Section 6 will apply, but constitutes our entire liability to you.
- Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer or other statutory rights that may not be excluded by law nor in any way exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, but subject to this and to the full extent allowed by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable to you/or any third party for any consequential indirect or incidental damages (including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, wasted expenditure, loss of privacy and loss of data) or any other indirect, special or punitive damages whatsoever that arise out of or are related to this Site, the Goods or your order.
8. Guarantees
All products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the Manufacturer's Guarantee for a period of 12 months. This guarantee specifically excludes faults caused by accident, neglect, and misuse. In addition routine maintenance, if needed, is not covered. This does not affect any statutory rights that you may have.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights on the Site including without limitation any copyright and trademark belong to our suppliers or us. You undertake not to do or admit to do anything that could infringe our or our supplier's intellectual property rights in the Site. You do not acquire any rights to any of our intellectual property.
10. General
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and only the English Courts will decide any disputes.
If any of these Terms is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extend permitted by law.

12. Privacy Policy
We ensure that all information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. You must ensure that all information you provide us is true, complete and accurate. We do not sell, pass on or disclose details of customers to any other parties with the exception of PayPal when customers have chosen to pay for Goods via this method.
We keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item and information from emails and from the order process at the time of ordering is stored both physically and electronically by ourselves in order to supply the best possible service to new and returning customers. We do not make unsolicited contact with customers except in the case of order status reports, and confirmation of your order. Once you have placed an order with us we may wish to contact you again with Site and products updates or special offers. Please use the 'Please tick here' box in the customer details page to confirm you would like to receive such information. You can contact us and ask us to remove you from our mailing list.
13. Rights of Third Parties
Nothing in these terms shall confer any right or benefit on any third party to enforce any term of this Agreement under the provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act.
14. Variation
We reserve the right to vary these terms at any time and will post any revised terms on our Site. You will be bound by the terms that are displayed on the Site when you place your order. These terms and conditions shall be the only terms and conditions that govern our relationship with you to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions including any you may purport to use when placing your order. No variation to these terms and conditions will be accepted unless confirmed in writing and signed by our authorised representative.
15. Assignment
We have the right to assign our obligations under these terms and conditions to a third party as we think fit. Your obligations under these terms and conditions are personal to you and may not be assigned without our prior written consent.
