KBB Fire ValveFire protection with a unique pedigreeThere are not many fire protection valves for oil fired appliances that can claim kinship with some of the most illustrious names in British engineering. In fact there's only one...
The KBB range of fire valves from Teddington Appliance Controls can trace their ancestry back to the 1930s, when Teddington collaborated with Rolls Royce to produce an experimental thermostat for their cars, and on through the 1940s when Teddington equipment played a vital role in the RAF’s Spitfire and Hurricane fighters. Ever since then the Teddington name has stood consistently for quality, innovation, reliability and dependability – which is why it makes sense for installers to choose the KBB fire safety shutoff valve. It consists of a sealed sensor phial which should be mounted inside the appliance above the burner, and a thermally-operated valve installed outside the building in the oil supply pipeline and linked to the sensor by capillary tubing. Easy InstallationInstallation is straightforward, and the fact that capillary tubing can be supplied in lengths of up to 20m provides maximum flexibility in locating the shutoff valve. Failsafe OperationIf triggered by excessive heat (there are two alternative temperature settings), the valve will snap closed. It can then be reset manually by pushing the reset button in. This ability to trip and reset the valve enables testing to be carried out at regular intervals to ensure that it is functioning correctly. If required, the valve can be closed manually to shut off the oil flow by pulling out the reset button. Simple to install and failsafe in operation, Teddington’s KBB is simply the best when it comes to fire safety shut-off valves for oil appliances. |
